3-Day Refresh DAY TWO

Welcome to Day Two! To give a quick recap The 3-Day Refresh is an opportunity to lose a few pounds, jump start healthy habits or give you that extra boost in your fitness/nutrition program.

I woke this morning feeling hungry, but good. I was extremely happy when I stepped on the scale to see that I lost 3.5lbs! I definitely woke up feeling less bloated and sluggish, which was a win for me.

The day consists of three daily shakes, a fiber drink, plenty of filtered water, plus a wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats throughout the day to keep your energy and metabolism going.

I started the day with a big glass of water, banana and a delicious Chocolate Shakeology made with water only. Water-only shakes take a bit to get used to, especially if you are not used to drinking it with just water, but it is still tasty. I continued my morning with herbal tea and about an hour later did the Fiber Sweep drink. You mix the drink with 8oz of water. It is gentle on your stomach and won’t have you racing to the bathroom. It is not the best tasting drink out there, so the trick is to just drink it down quick. I made the mistake of not mixing it well today. I empty the envelope quickly and didn’t mix enough because I got distracted and ended up with little muddy like fiber balls. I broke them up as best I could and just drank it down.

Afternoon was grapefruit, cucumbers, hummus and my vanilla fresh shake. I had some tea later and an afternoon snack of stemmed “smashed” cauliflower with coconut oil, Himalayan salt and pepper which was amazing.

Dinner was vanilla fresh shake and salad with vinegar/herbs. You do have the option of having broth too, but I just sipped tea.

Workouts are optional, but I did Upper Fix in the morning and my energy level was fine all day. I didn’t have the craving for meat like I did yesterday. I did however feel hungry this afternoon and my energy waned a bit. I am not sure if that has to do with the detoxing of my body or because my allergies were practically bad today.

Overall the day was not bad at all. I am not dreaming of BBQ chicken tonight like I thought I would yesterday but I will be telling myself…”One more day…..”
